MAPCO Printers Ltd. (MAPCO) is an award winning commercial printer and market leader that specializes in high quality work, quick turnaround and customized service for its valuable client network. Our direction is driven by a client need focus and the company undergoes continuous reengineering of its offerings to meet changing markets and customer need.
The company was incorporated in 1986 and since inception; its growth and operations have been capably managed by its founder and principal, Mrs. Michele Hamilton. The company commenced business with five employees, 1,000 square feet of rented factory space and a one-colour press. Today MAPCO employs fifty-five highly skilled employees, owns a 20,000 square foot plant and utilizes six printing presses including state-of-the-art Heidelberg and Mitsubishi four-color presses, state of the art pre-press and post press departments.
MAPCO offers its clients complete prepress, printing and post press services for the entire range of required printed materials including brochures, flyers, posters, stationery, business cards, shelf talkers, ceiling strip stickers, calendars, tickets, labels, boxes and invoices. The company also excels in printing complex documents including books and annual reports.
Since 2004, the company has also expanded its offerings to provide variable data printing and fulfillment services to its customers. The focus so far has been the fulfillment of one of timely report and documents, and the printing of variable data for various promotions including many successful Red Stripe promotions, the Air Jamaica frequent flyer program, Netkyaad, and Grace world brand promotions.
Additionally, in response to client demand and increased competition in the local market and from international competitors, MAPCO recently upgraded its capabilities and capacities. 2003 marked a year of significant capital investment some J$65 Million followed by an additional J$20 Million in 2004. These investments have been the largest and most significant since the company’s inception in 1986. The investment included the conversion of our entire prepress process to a state of the art CTP technology, Installation of a high speed computerized Mitsubishi printing press, upgrade of our bindery facilities and expansion of our physical plant by some 8000 square feet as well as the installation of a Print Management Information System.
MAPCO’s growing list of loyal clients includes the Bank of Jamaica, Courts Jamaica, Cable & Wireless Jamaica, Guardian Life, Jamaica Public Service Company, Pepsi Jamaica, Roberts Products, Red Stripe, Supreme Ventures, Tetley Tea Company, VAP Ltd, all leading advertising agencies such as CGR Communications, Dunlop Corbin, Compton Advertising & Marketing, OGM Communications and many others.
